Hi, I’ve been following your blog for a little while now and I really love it! I have a question to ask..I usually relax my hair but I am taking a break. I have a lot of new growth which is great, but my hair is SO dry. Mostly my ends. I braid it a lot and and co wash it often as well as put in oil regularly. Do you have any product reccomendations? Or any ideas on how I can keep my hair hydrated? Thanks! - Black Hair Problems

I just discovered Beautiful Textures products and I honestly think that they would work for transitioning hair. I couldn’t confidently say that for many products.

Deep conditioning is great; I would do this once a week until you see results. Braiding is a good protective style, but it could be causing breakage…It is the winter time so the cold air might be drying your hair. I like to do any styles that keep my ends tucked in so that they’re not exposed to this cold dry air, and if you have hats or scarves that you like to use that would help  a lot.

Personally I oil my hair with tee tree oil or olive oil (I use lots of different ones) and use a good leave in conditioner with shea butter. Then I protective style and leave that in for a while until it needs to be redone. It has taken a couple months but using all of these moisturizing products has really made a difference. Be patient, and protect! Good luck :)
